Timber Outdoor Music Fest

220px summer triangle map

Timber Outdoor Music Fest will start at 11:30pm. Guests can join astronomers from the Seattle Astronomical Society and astronomers  from the University of Washington for a star party! Guests will be able to learn about the cosmos, gaze at distant planets and galaxies, and celebrate the outdoors in the grandest way. Timber’s stargazing activity will take place in the North Meadow on the west side of the walking bridge.
Admission is free for participating astronomers.

Overnight camping at the observing field is strongly suggested.

Timber Outdoor Music Fest Star Party
Tolt-MacDonald Park and Campground
31020 NE 40th Street
Carnation, WA 98014

Overnight camping is strongly suggested.

In order to view from the darkest possible Park location, telescopes will be set up in a north meadow, which is free of lights on the opposite side of the river.  Having telescopes there will require that the Music Fest host, Kevin Sur, load us in via an access road rather than through the festival front entrance.

All astronomers bringing vehicles should meet Kevin at 8:00 PM so he can escort the group in one trip.  If this is not possible, Kevin said he'll make it work.

Kevin's number is 206.409.4304
