    Mars, the Opposition, and Insight

    We welcome Keith Krumm and Dave Cuomo, both of whom are NASA Solar System Ambassadors, who will be speaking with attendees about Mars, the upcoming Mars Opposition, the Mars Insight Mission, and the Solar System Ambassador Program. 

    The monthly general meeting is as always, Open to the Public. Prior to the General Meeting, SAS volunteer staff offer a welcome table from 7:00PM to 7:30PM. New member and guests are invited to ask questions and meet some of the existing members. All attendees are welcome to stop by, have a cookie, and (if available) make a name tag to help everyone get to know you better. The meeting begins at 7:30pm with SAS business, followed by the lecture.

    We welcome Dr. Julie Lutz, from the Manastash Ridge Observatory and the University of Washington, who will be speaking with attendees about the dawn of the space age - everything from Chinese rockets through the end of the Apollo moon landing program.
