Overview
Area astronomers team up with Kent Parks at the Green River Natural Resource Area (GRNRA) to provide telescopes for an evening of public star gazing. July night sky views include the 1st quarter moon, planets, stars and constellations. Meet for monthly star parties at the small parking lot on the west side of the Green River Natural Resource Area, 22209 Russell Road, Kent, WA 98032
Dress wamly. Bring a dim, red flashlight. Print and bring a copy of the latest, monthly Skymap from <www.skymaps.com>

Public Star Party at Covington Community Park

Volunteer astronomers from the Seattle Astronomical Society and Boeing Employees' Astronomical Society will provide telescopes and assist guests of all ages to view available celestial objects of the season. 3/4 Moon Members-Only Star Party
Sat at 10:00 PMSAS Members OnlyThis star party offers another opportunity each month to observe under a dark sky. It's open to all SAS members but is specifically designed to orient new members to dark-sky protocol. Although dark-sky etiquette is expected (see below), experienced members will be on hand to help newcomers learn the ropes. The Third Quarter Star Party is for SAS members only and will be on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 10:00 p.m. if weather permits.
