Overview

Please join us for a celebration of Apollo 50 with NASA Solar System Ambassadors Dave Cuomo and Keith Krumm. They will share some excellent NASA material created for Apollo 50, (including an Apollo 50 poster for all attendees), and recent NASA moon news. They will also ask attendees to share their memories of July 1969 and lead a discussion on the moon.

The monthly general meeting is, Open to the Public. Prior to the General Meeting, SAS volunteer staff offer a welcome table from 7:00PM to 7:30PM. New member and guests are invited to ask questions and meet some of the existing members. All attendees are welcome to stop by, have a cookie, and (if available) make a name tag to help everyone get to know you better. The meeting begins at 7:30pm with SAS business, followed by the lecture.

    Photographing the Moon with the SAS APSIG

    In July the SAS will be continuing our celebration of the 50th anaversarry of the Apollo moon landing. The Seattle Astronomical Society's Astrophotography Special Instrest group, lead by Matt Dahl and Jon Minnick, will be discussing and answering questions about photographing the Moon.
